Far East
The history of RICECRACKS goes back ages to the ancient China. The old Chinese made the first rice crackers at home as a variation to their rice meals. Later, the technology of making rice crackers was transferred to Japan, where the production was first industrialised. In Japan the consumption of rice crackers is certainly the highest in the world.

For many years, the consumption of rice crackers was still restricted to the Far East and Asian countries. It was not until the 1960s that these products were first being exported to Europe. With its trading traditions and connections in the Far East, The Netherlands were the first country were rice crackers were introduced.

Nowadays, RICECRACKS are made in Thailand by Namchow, packed for freshness and then exported directly to Europe in Food Grade Sea containers.
